SOW - Dog

SOW, Anna Wildsmith's long-running alternate project with PIG, is returning with their first album in 12 years, entitled 'Dog'. It's just the third studio album in 20 years, co-produced and co-written by Raymond Watts (PIG, ex-KMFDM), Rob Henry (Euphonic, Children Of The Bong) and Anna Wilsmith (SOW) and features guest appearances from Steve White (KMFDM, 16 Volt) and Mike Watts (PIG).

It is currently available for direct pre-order at the newly-launched official SOW website.

Also available is a new free SOW MP3, 'Victim', featuring music by Raymond Watts.

It will be available on CD / digital on March 16, 2010 via US label I, Absentee.

There is also a video promo for the new track 'Crybaby' (also featuring music by Watts).

For McQueen and country.

We feel that there is no more fitting tribute to Lee Alexander McQueen than a period of (public) silence followed by continually fond thoughts and more creative output, as has been reflected by his colleagues and friends in their respective public forums.

We at The Swining were deeply struck by news of McQueen's death and impressed by the respect shown by the fashion community to his friends and family. Nothing about this terrible story is "news" for our subject in terms of something on which we need to comment or publicly capitulate, but we couldn't allow it to remain entirely unaddressed.

We will genuinely miss the exciting, artistic and anarchistic contributions made to fashion and the public dialogue and to his family and friends, our sincerest condolences.

Raymond Watts and Jon Gosling did some scoring for designer Alexander McQueen's catwalk shows. If you blinked, you missed the videos we had up, but we swear it exists. Keep an eye on McQueen's page for the new collection to pop up.

Another project with McQueen is coming up, a bit bigger. We'll let you know when... oh. We'll let you know.

JUDDA PIG

Judda

Judda

Before NIN, RevCo, Ministry, Skinny Puppy etc. had even hit the shores of Britain there was JUDDA, mutated from punk, rock, psyko-billy and dance bands, these members regularly packed out places in and around London circa early 1990's. Many labels tried to sign them, Chrysalis came close but soon pulled out when JUDDA decided to fight and slag-off everyone at their signing party.

In '94, JUDDA asked Raymond to remix a couple of songs. They are apparently re-releasing the originals soon (Armalyte?), so we thought you might like to hear PIG's take on them.
